Abstract
In terms of reducing CO2 emission, car structures should be lightened using newer materials such as aluminum alloy, fiber reinforced plastics, etc. The most critical issue for the structures is joining methods because conventional methods such as welding are not suitable for the purpose. Adhesive joining can be applied to the materials, even if different ones of them have to be joined. The presentation treats recent progress of adhesion technology for car structures, especially carbon composite or multi material bodies.
