Dry textiles are usually incorporated into the RTM method as a fibrous reinforcing material. The architecture of the textile material affects both the permeability and material properties of the final product. We optimized the textile architecture to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality. In this optimization, in-plane stiffness, in-plane permeability, out-of-plane stiffness, and out-of-plane permeability were calculated via the homogenization method in the liquid and solid phases as objective functions. We use a multi-objective genetic algorithm as an optimization technique. A self-organizing map was used as a visualization tool. As a result, we obtained a Pareto solutions group, which is significant in designing the architecture of the textile. We demonstrated the design rules and knowledge of fabric structure by analyzing the Pareto solutions.
