Okuma Corporation developed the parallel mechanism machine tool "COSMO CENTER PM-600". The machine property for high speed and high freedom is valued highly. And the machine is actually applicable to machine production. It is unusual case among the parallel mechanism machine tools that have 5 degrees of freedom. This paper describes the property of PM-600 and actual example of the machining operation. It would say that the parallel mechanism machine tools become popular among the machine tool users from now.
