In ductile-mode cutting of glass, the depth-of-cut is about 0.1μm in Ultra-precision turning. The fly cutting has the possibility of improving the efficiency of glass cutting. In this research, the fly cutting was tried with the adapted Ultra-precision lathe. As a result, ductile-mode cutting can be done to the soda lime glass using carbide tool (K10), and the amount of the depth-of-cut is tens of times the turning.
