In traditional layered manufacturing, stair step effect occurs in two adjacent layers. In order to increase the surface precision, it is necessary to reduce the thickness of the layer. As a result, the number of layers increases, and the total build time increas es. Therefore, in this research, a new layered manufacturing method using the wire electric discharge machine was proposed. And the tool path generation algorithm was developed for this proposed method.
