抄録

We have proposed and experimentally demonstrated an electrostatic operation to make one-dimensional stream of bacteria by dielectrophoresis for future bacteria counter detecting at single-cell level continuously. The key to the new design is the separation of the collection part and alignment part in a single stream of flow path. We investigated the concept by both the simulation using finite element method and experiment. As a result, we could improve the collection ratio up to 93% within 0.13s.
