Cu-Fe-Cr alloy was severe plastic deformed by multi-directional-forging (MDF) method at room temperature. With increasing strain, microstructure evolved gradually. Though fine precipitates contributed much to strengthening of the material, the fine precipitates delayed the evolution of ultra-fine grain by impediment of recovery. Prolonged deformation by MDF with combination of heat treatment to a cumulative strain of 30, fine grains of 1μm in diameter uniformly evolved.
