Recently, Ni dispersed alumina nanocomposites (Ni/Al203) has become a candidate of high-temperature structural materials because of excellent mechanical properties and self-healing function. In order to improve its mechanical properties, zirconia (Zr02) was introduced into Ni/Al203. In the present work, crack-disappearance of 5 vol% Ni/ (10 vol% Zr02+Al203) was investigated as a function of temperature and annealing time. As a result, crack-disappearance of Ni/ (Zr02+Al203) was faster than that of Ni/Al203.
