On AM(Additive Manufacturing) of metal parts, high quality spherical powder made by gas atomization is used as the ingredient powder, because of their fluidity. Though, such powders made by gas atomization are expensive. In contrast, titanium or titanium powder can be made by hydrogenation and milling proses by low cost. However, particle shape of such powders are angular and low fluidity, and these powders are not suitable for powder bed fusion process AM. We are improve the recoating process and recoating device of SLM machine, and actualize the AM process using milling powder.
