The purpose of this study is to make clear analytically the fluctuation phenomenon of an aerostatic lead screw supposing to having an influence on its positioning accuracy. As the first step of its study, we succeeded measuring the fluctuation per 2π radian each screws experimentally, and considering theoretically. As the results, (1) The positioning accuracy was improved by using an air bearing effect, we call "Balancing effect". (2) It is assumed that the theoretical value of the female screw fluctuation is able to calculate by the balance of each axial loads.
