In a sandwich-belt conveyor there are tow belts, one is driving belt and another driven belt, used to pinch and convey media. In this paper, finite elements analysis considering media conveyance is carried out. The influence of media conveyance on driving torque, belt tensions and slip of belt and pulley are discussed. It is found that the media conveyance causes some change in driving torque, belt tension and pulley slip only when the media pass through the contact area, and there could be a very large instantaneous slip when there is torque load.
