Abstract
Bearing stiffness influences the performance of power transmissions. However, the stiffness evaluation of bearings subject to multiple loads has not been established. The purpose of the present study is to construct a evaluation method of the bearing stiffness. In the present report, a stiffness evaluation of deep groove ball bearings subject to radial and axial loads is proposed. The evaluation is based on the Hertzian contact theory. Being compared with experimental results, the evaluation can be confirmed in a valid method.
