Abstract
The authors have developed Safety Support System (SSS) for nuclear power plants from FY 1992 to 1999. Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry supported this activity. SSS consists of three major functions; anomaly early detection function for complex plant components, fault tolerance automation function and human-friendly man-machine interface function. This paper describes the principles of the proposed methods and the overview of the system.
