In order to develop a load controller for a waste heat recovery Stirling engine, a Stirling engine simulator to simulate load change has been developed. The simulator uses output characteristics calculated by the isothermal model that takes into account a gas leakage between a buffer space and a working space, and pressure losses in heat exchangers. In this paper, the engine speed of the simulator and that of the Stirling engine was compared in load change conditions. As the result, it is found that the simulator can simulate the output characteristics of the Stirling engine, and it is available development of a load controller.
