The aqueous of amine CO2 capture processes can remove CO2 from exhaust gas in some industrial process. The major aqueous amine absorbent which is applied in industrial process are primary amines, the secondary amines and the tertiary amines. The aqueous of amine CO2 capture processes are consumed thermal energy for CO2 desorption. A previous study has revealed that a lot of energy for CO2 desorption are CO2 desorption heat, sensible heat of the aqueous for desorption temperature and the heat of vaporization the aqueous absorbent. We developed a new type of CO2 absorption solvent which transforms into two liquids phase with CO2 absorption. In this study, we evaluated the absorption rate of the new absorbent and MEA absorbent, and calculated the constant of absorption rate from CO2 transport phenomena model. From the results, the coefficient of absorption rate was obtained 2.8 mol/(m2·sec)(before separation), 13 mol/(m2·sec)(after separation), 10 mol/(m2·sec)(MEA 30wt%), respectively. The new absorbent had high absorption rate compared with MEA absorbents.
