When the flow pattern is observed in a fluid experiment, it is visualized by adding tracer particles into fluid. In Marangoni convection in a liquid bridge, a phenomenon called 'twisted loop PAS' is observed, in which particles gather along a 3-dimensional closed orbit. In this study, the three dimensional numerical simulation of the thermocapillary convection in a liquid bridge is performed. Tracer particles are initially dispersed uniformly in fluid. Then the particles tend to accumulate along a closed orbit, whose structure agrees quite well with the experimental observation. Relation between the particle motion and the surface temperature wave is farther discussed.
