Feedback control of the mean cocentration distribution in a triple parallel plane jet configuration was experimentally demonstrated. The velocity distribution was measured by a set of three hot-wire probes and jets exit velocity were manipulated in order to control the peak position of mean concentration distribution toward a desired position. We made use of the fact that adjacent jets attract each other during application of the control method. A relationship between concentration and velocity distribution was obtained using particle image velocimetry and a tracer image processing technique. By utilizing additional feedback control of concentration profile, in addition to the velocity profile, we were able to shorten the response time of the convective phenomena.
