Abstract
A subject of the handcrafts exercise is to create a retractable tapping implement "B5 size". The implement should be contained in a box having a bottom area of B5 size when retracted. An objective for the development is to give an impression induced by a creation to the students. The program includes whole process from design to operation of the implement which is provided with exclusive design and specified size. According to the messages of the students after the exercise, they have had a confidence to create another own implement. It has been concluded that an attitude for the training of this program which corresponds to that the students consider and fabricate the given subject by themselves, results in preferable effect.
