Abstract
Rescue operation had a rough going much in Hanshin-Awaji (Kobe) Earthquake (1995), because there was no effective rescue equipment. Our research group aims at developing a mobile robot traveling over an irregular ground. The robot searches inside a collapsed building for victims and builds the internal environmental map after a disaster. The operator must remotely control robots. Therefore,the user interface is very important. In this paper describes the comfortable GUI for remotely controled rescue robot and the database for constracting the three dimensional environmental map.
