This paper is concerned with the traveling pattern analysis for an omni-directional mobile wheelchair. In the paper, the relationship between behavior of the passenger on the wheelchair and comfort travel for the passenger is analyzed. The behavior of the passenger is measured by the acceleration sensor, which is fitted on the passenger's head. The SD method is then used for assessment of comfort traveling. The omni-directional mobile wheelchair is traveled to forward and lateral directions in the experiments. By using the results of acceleration of passenger's head and SD (Semantic Differential) method, some key points for the comfort traveling of the wheelchair have been clarified.
