抄録
The primary objective of this paper is to present the performance evaluation result of the advanced motor control module, FTMD, newly developed under the Development Project for a Common Basis of Next-Generation Robots by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). In order to ensure the wide applicability, several functionalities are implemented, including capability to drive brushed and brushless DC motors, availability of control modes (current/velocity/position) and connectively to real-time communication. In this paper, in addition to the motor control performance, the evaluation based on an electric wheelchair application is fully discussed.
