Abstract
This paper presents assembly method using optical tweezers to fabricate a micro bio actuator using muscle cells as power generator. In this study, we build up optical tweezers system and tried to assemble cardiomyocites to PDMS micro pillars and DLC micro tweezers. DLC micro tweezers was fabricated on cover glass coated with ITO. We observed cardiomyocites beat that is assembled to PDMS micro pillars after 36 hours. But experiment of cardiomyocite assembly to DLC micro tweezers was failed by ITO heating. The results demonstrated that optical tweezers is a useful tool to fabricate a micro bio actuator. Furthermore, it is expected to fabricate a high capability micro actuator by using optical tweezers.
