Abstract
This paper introduces the development of D3 platform, which is a distributed control and communication platform aiming to enhance the safety level of service robots. D3 platform is based on the ftamework of TTP/C network protocol, whose high level of the safety and reliability is proven in the commercial applications such as airplane, railroads. The main objective of D3 platform is to reduce the burdens of service robot developers by providing a certified or certifiable technology for safety.
