In this paper, we propose an autonomous system with USB servo motor. We have studied on method to construct robot by utilizing resource in mobile personal computer. To develop an autonomous mobile robot, various components in areas of mechanics, electronics and computer control should be prepared. Meanwhile, usual personal computer already has almost components to build an autonomous mobile robot. Just a part of mobility is not included. Then, we proposed a USB motor device to develop an autonomous mobile robot. However, it did not have angular sensors to measure odometer. Therefore, it can not apply trajectory control to the robot. To solve this problem, we add a rotary encoder to the USB motor. We call the device USB servo motor. The Robot with USB servo motor can be controlled with constant speed. We describe how to develop the device and confirm the effectiveness of our method through an experiment. Furthermore, we indicate applications of the USB servo motor.
