Abstract
We aim to develop a linear actuator applying an ER(Electro-Rheological) gel (ER Gel Liner Actuator, ERGLA) which has new mechanism and can be applied to human-coexistence robots. This paper shows enlarging the output torque of the clutch with ER gels, which is a main part of the ERGLA.
