Abstract
SysML is a powerful tool for managing the systems engineering process. However, it needs to be used in a well-defined process to ensure that the modelling task is controlled and achieves its goals. The Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Method is one such process. This work experiments with using SysML and OOSEM to design a dependable robot wheelchair. The experience has found that the approach offered by OOSEM is beneficial in controlling the scope of the design as it matures and provides much-needed structure in the desien Drocess.
