2P1-D02 Cheap and Quick Robotics Education that Beginners Experience Both Mechanical Design and Control Implementation : PET-bottle-based Robot Cars and Robot Arms(Manufacturing Education and Mechatronics/Enjoy Mechatronics DIY (2))

Abstract

In this paper, we propose cheap and quick robotics education using PET-bottles as its body and MBED controller. The robotics education provides that participants experience both designing robot structure and implementing control algorithm for short time at cheap cost. So far, we have conducted robotics education twice (6 university students at the first time, and approximately 20 company workers at the second time). As results, they have developed their original robot cars and arm robots based on sensory-motor control.
