Abstract
This research aims to realize a flexible displacement detection sensor that can be attached on flexible soft bellows actuators. The sensor material is piezoelectric polymer: poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) [P(VDF/TrFE)]. By adjusting temperature and applied voltage in the process of polarization, fabrication conditions were optimized. In addition, the piezoelectric polymer sensor was mounted to the actuator having a bellows structure. A flexible substrate was used as wiring in order to keep flexibility. The actuator is curved by using a negative pressure. As a result, we have confirmed the detection of actuator displacement by the sensor.
