Abstract
In this study, an ultrasonic motor for solid-state high resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer has been fabricated and evaluated. The solid-state NMR analysis needs a sample spinning in the high intensity magnetic field. All parts of the motor are made of materials which has low magnetic permeability. The motor consists of two sector shaped vibrators. The diameter and the height of the motor including the sample case are 31 mm and 50 mm. The motor was unaffected by the influence of the magnetic field. The rotation speed was 1200 rpm when the magnetic flux density was 7 T. Additionally, the motor was used for the sample rotation system of NMR spectrometer.
