This paper describes a mouse cursor operation based on the toe sliding motions. User's sole was put on the transparency flat board and it was taken to the computer in real-time for image processing via USB camera. Here, the LED right was applied to the sole to make a shadow, and it was observed to judge the contact state and measure the position of the toe. When the user's toe was sliding on the flat board, the mouse cursor could be moved, just like a joystick interface. In the test operation, all user could operate the mouse cursor movement by using the developed foot interface. Experimental results said that the cursor movement speed influenced on the positioning operation, and the optimal speed must be selected.
