This paper describes safe micromanipulation method of a system consisting of an optical microscope and micromanipulators by gesture inputs using Natural-User-Interface (NUI). It is necessary for human operators to operate in accurate and delicate repetition. As the innovation of sensor technology, NUI is expected to be high operability. However, the manipulation with NUI has a high risk of incorrect operation from a safety viewpoint, and requires the prevention of collision. Therefore, the authors propose a three-dimensional measurement method which is based on blur width between a micro object and a tip of micromanipulator. By using the collision prevention with the method, the safe micromanipulation using NUI is achieved.
