Abstract
We present an innovative on-chip flow control system. Proposed on-chip control system consists of cell delivery channel and flow control channel. Flow control channel is connected in parallel to cell delivery channel. Flow control in a cell delivery channel is achieved by changing flow resistance in flow control channel. Changing of flow resistance is achieved by using gel actuator made of Bioresist. Bioresist is thermo responsible biocompatible photoresist. Novelties of this on-chip flow control system are shown as follows. (1) It is possible to actuate under 1V. (2) It is easy to integrate other cell measurement devices. Here, we fabricated and demonstrated this system and achieved on-chip flow control.
