We are conducting musculoskeletal motion analysis of cadaver specimens in order to clarify the contribution of extrinsic and intrinsic muscles on the articulated thumb motion. For computing joint angles of radiocarpal, midcarpal, carpometacarpal, metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints, local coordinate system of each bone was determined from bone geometry and bone motion.
