In the new ISO safety standard for personal care robots (ISO 13482), a safety related control system of a personal care robot shall be developed based on functional safety. It is very difficult to carry out such a development, especially including software system, which needs a lot of man-hours. Therefore, we have developed the prototype of the softwareless safety related control system for transfer assist robot "Roboticbed". In this paper, we introduce a summary of them.
