Abstract
In nursing care, excretion care cause physical and mental strain on caregivers and recipients. We have been developing nursing care equipment "Toilet system for caring" for supporting the excretion care. The system pinpoints the position of anus using an infrared thermal camera, moves toilet unit to the anal position by movement mechanism, and contacts it to buttock. The toilet unit captures feces and washes the anus automatically. Here we suggested a washing method using foam for removing stains easily. Here we suggested a washing method using foam for removing stains easily. Therefore the study conducted verification experiment for confirming the efficacy of using foam. In the result of comparing using foam against not using, we confirmed that using foam was effective in removing stains on the anus.
