In current health care system, it is difficult to have sufficient rehabilitation. Therefore, rehabilitation support at home is needed as soon as possible. In recent years , it has been recognized that the exercises for voluntary movement of fingertip contribute to recover the physical functions. In this study, we aim to develop simple robotic devices that will improve upper extremity functionality by finger rehabilitation. This research discusses a design of the device. We show an example of the device that consists of finger selection mechanisms by servo motors, finger raising mechanisms by DC motors, search-by-touch task providing mechanisms by DC motors, and hand and finger state detection sensors by flat face pressure sensors.
