We have developed a Multi-Motor Power Unit (MMPU) to drive the one output shaft by using a plurality of motors. MMPU has a feature that obtained a large output while leaving the high-speed rotation and high response, which is a feature of a small motor. In turn the direction of the present study, we aim to downsizing MMPU as a target application to wearable power assist device. For using actually worn on the person, it is necessary to decelerate output of MMPU by the decelerator. Therefore, we devised a structure of MMPU with the planetary gear type deceleration that makes full use of the characteristics of MMPU using a large number of motor as a power.
