This paper describes preliminary announcement methods for a daily-life-support robot using a robot avatar. We compared three conditions using the augmented reality (AR). The mobile robot was equipped with a robot avatar and moved toward a human. We conducted experiments to evaluate the three conditions. In the first condition, the robot avatar is first facing sideways, and then turns the head towards the human. In the second condition, the robot avatar stays facing sideways while moving. In the third condition, the robot avatar keeps its face forward. Then we asked participants to answer a questionnaire on robot's intention and psychological threat. As a result, participants preferred the third condition, where the robot kept facing forward.
