Abstract

Due to the current trends of low birthrate and aging in Japan, the increase in health care costs is becoming a serious problem. In response the increased number of patient are becoming huge burden on the people working in the hospitals. If it is possible to prevent such lifestyle-related diseases by daily monitoring of the physiological states, this problem should be relieved. However the daily monitoring should be done unconscious and unconstrained. Therefore, for the measurement of the electrocardiographic waveform in the unconscious and unconstrained manner, we developed a novel capacitively coupled electrocardiograph and evaluated it through comparison with standard electrocardiograph.
