Reduction in test time of non-invasive semi-automatic test device for measurement of finger joints range of motion

Abstract

Therapists usually conduct the range of motion (ROM) test to evaluate the motor function of patient’s fingers. We aim to develop an automatic ROM test device to reduce test time by a therapist and test time on a patient. In this paper we developed a semi-automatic test device with four RGBD cameras to solve the problems in the conventional test device. We confirmed that both the test times were reduced as compared with those with the conventional test device.
