Abstract

We designed measuring device of temporal change in stiffness for cultured cell under stretching stimulus. To measure a small stiffness change, we proposed a method of integrating two strain sensors to culture substrate. In addition to use high sensitive rigid sensor like semiconductor strain gauge, we designed elastic substrate which has a structure to decrease a strain of sensor region. We designed an arch-shaped structure on the side of substrate for strain reduction. We confirmed an effect of the strain reduction by measuring sensor output against substrate strain using metal strain gauge. As a result, we showed that the sensor output is related to dimensions of arch leg.
