The purpose of this study is to develop a wearable device that visualizes burden of knee using acceleration sensor. We measured acceleration on ankle, knee, and waist during participants walked in four different conditions: high-heeled shoes on linoleum floor, sport shoes on linoleum floor, sport shoes on mat, and sport shoes with weight jacket on upper body on linoleum floor. We calculated the magnitudes of impact from the measured acceleration and compared them between the conditions of walking and the position of sensors. From the results, we confirmed that the acceleration sensors on ankle and waist could be applicable to evaluate the burden of knee.
