Abstract

We aim to develop the label-free cell patterning system by scanning magnetic which based on the magnetoArchimedes effect. This system is able to patterns cells without magnetic-labeling by controlling magnetic field generated by scanning a magnet with the automatic stage. In this study, we added paramagnetic compound to the fluorescent beads suspension and scanned magnet under the bottom of substrate. The magnetic field generated by scanning magnetic was applied to the fluorescent beads. As a result, fluorescent beads were pushed away from the trajectory of the magnet and patterned on the substrate. This result suggests that the system is able to pattern the micro particles including cells by scanning magnetic.
