Eccentric contraction is a kind of contraction exerting muscle strength during stretching the muscles. It has characteristics that the muscles vibrate when the load is large. This paper proposes methods to detect the threshold of muscle strength as an evaluation index of athletic performance. Two methods for detecting vibrations during eccentric contraction from the force response measured by a robot have been compared. In the first method, the recognition rate was 100%. However, it is necessary to preliminarily measure the data without vibration. The second method works without preliminary measurement, while the recognition ratio was 82.4%.
