Abstract

Now we are studying about the method that can feedback tactile sensation of a held object to the artificial hand user. In previous study, we developed a tactile display with 16 disc vibrators placed on a 12 × 12cm silicone rubber sheet. The problem with this device was that there were many lines wired to the vibrators. In this this, the amount of wiring can be reduced by using matrix control of the vibrators. We will report about the structure of this display and the experimental results.
