This paper proposes a novel concept of a frame-timing control with visual feedback for motion-blur-free video shooting of unstable fast-moving objects. This concept based on an actuator-driven frame-by-frame intermittent tracking is that the camera's frame-timings are alternated in odd and even frames, and are controlled according to normalized edge intensity values in two frames with the different speeds of the camera's viewpoint. We develop a prototype system by implementing our proposed algorithm on a high-speed vision platform with an external FPGA board and a resonant mirror. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our concept for motion-blur-free video shooting without decreasing the camera exposure time.
