The child with the handicap in the motor function is sometime difficult to perform autonomous movement. Early movement experiences will be able to interact the surrounding person and environment, and is important to encourage psychological development such as emotion and cognition. In order that children with disabilities in motor function can move independently, we provide various electric equipment. In this research, we develop an omnidirectional mobile electric wheelchair with a high degree of freedom of mobility. We adopt an omni-wheel, which enables smooth running and improves the running performance, and develop new omnidirectional moving mechanism, which can be used in indoor and outdoor.
