Abstract

Japan is about to enter a super aging society. Independent movement for the elderly is important, and the use of personal mobility vehicles, such as electric wheelchairs, is increasing. If the elderly use an electric wheelchair to move among the crowd, such as supermarkets, there is a possibility that they may become uneasy as to whether they will collide with other people. In this research, whether a person riding on a wheelchair would be uneasy with the surrounding people were investigated using skin potential reflex (SPR).
