Abstract

Battery capacity is a bottleneck for long-term deployment of an AUV. Recently, the use of a seafloor station has been proposed for extended deployment of an AUV. This paper reports about a development of noncontact charging system and test in harbor with hovering type AUV. It was experimentally verified that the system could send about 400W.
