Abstract

This paper deals with analysis of an expression bill of a performance to produce performance design theory for our violin-playing robot. In particular, we focused on effects of timbre on the sound volume. We recorded the sounds produced by a trained violinist and interviewed about the method to make the bright and dark impression. We analyzed the obtained data, focusing on the volume change. In addition, we introduce a design of a finger for our violin-playing robot.
